Dr. Carlos Astudillo, MD,  graduated from University of Chile Medical School, Valparaíso in 1984, Chile. He trained in internal medicine at the University of Valparaíso from 1985 to 1988. and finished a cardiology fellowship at the Echocardiography Department of Hammersmith Hospital at the Imperial College, University of London, UK in 1992.

From 1995, Dr Astudillo has been working in the Cardiology Department at Carlos Van Buren Hospital, Valparaíso. Chile

In 2000 was appointed as Associate Professor of Cardiology at the University of Valparaíso, Chile, and at the present time is the Director of Cardiovascular Department of the Valparaíso University.


Dr. Astudillo has been  President of the Valparaíso branch of the Chilean Society of Cardiology and at the present time is Director of the Chilean Society and member of the Interamerican Society of Cardiac Imaging.

Dr. Astudillo has been invited as speaker to many Cardiology Meetings in Chile, Argentina, México, USA, Greece, South Korea and Tanzania
